First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a drug called tirofiban after standard clot-busting treatment helps people recover better from a severe stroke. About 976 adults who did not improve enough after initial treatment will receive either tirofiban or a placebo for 24 hours. The main goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later, while carefully monitoring for bleeding risks.
