First seen Jun 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares time-restricted eating (intermittent fasting) with standard nutritional counseling in cancer patients receiving radiation or chemoradiation for prostate, cervical, or rectal cancers. The goal is to see if fasting reduces treatment side effects and improves how well the therapy works. About 49 adults are participating, and researchers will measure DNA damage in normal tissues and how many patients can stick with the eating plan for 4 weeks.
