When you eat may matter more than what you eat for blood sugar control
NCT ID NCT06118931
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether eating all your food within a specific 9-hour window each day (time-restricted eating) can improve blood sugar control in people with obesity who have or are at risk for type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare three different eating windows to see if the start and stop times matter, and if effects differ between men and women. Participants will wear a continuous glucose monitor for a week to track their blood sugar levels.
