Young cancer patients try experimental immune cell treatment
NCT ID NCT04052334
Summary
This early-stage trial tested whether a patient's own cancer-fighting immune cells could be grown in a lab and given back to treat advanced soft tissue sarcoma. Nine young adult patients who had already tried standard treatments received this experimental therapy. Researchers primarily wanted to see if the treatment was safe and if the immune cells would survive in the body after being infused.
