New hope for GERD sufferers: No-Cut procedure tested in asians

Summary
This study tests a procedure called TIF for people with GERD who still have symptoms despite medication. TIF rebuilds the valve between the stomach and esophagus using a tube inserted through the mouth, avoiding surgery cuts. The goal is to reduce acid reflux and the need for daily pills. The study will enroll 20 Asian adults and follow them for up to 5 years.
