First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at why blood clots form in the legs (venous thrombosis) and lungs (pulmonary embolism) in over 21,000 African American and white adults. Researchers are using data from two long-running health studies to find risk factors. The goal is to better understand these conditions, not to test a new treatment.
