Texts to parents may prevent teen suicide after ER visit

Summary
This study tests whether text message reminders can help parents of teens who visited the ER for suicidal thoughts or attempts to lock up guns and medications. About 129 parent-teen pairs will be randomly assigned to receive either the text program or usual care. The goal is to see if nudges improve safety practices and reduce the teen's access to lethal means.
