NCT ID NCT06733350
First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is safe and beneficial for men with low-risk prostate cancer who are on active surveillance (watchful waiting). Many doctors avoid TRT in these patients due to fears it might make cancer grow, but this trial aims to see if it can improve quality of life and reduce the chance of stopping active surveillance. The study involves 600 men with localized prostate cancer and low testosterone levels.
