First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether sending personalized text messages at the right time can help inactive young adults increase their physical activity and slow weight gain. About 360 participants will wear an activity tracker for 12 months and receive either personalized messages, random messages, or no messages at all. Researchers will compare step counts and weight changes over 18 months to see if the personalized approach works better.
