New scanner captures nearly Full-Body pictures in one go

NCT ID NCT04617912

First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests a new research PET scanner that can take pictures of most of the body at once, unlike current scanners that only capture small sections. Researchers want to see if this whole-body approach produces clearer, more useful images for diagnosing diseases like cancer or brain conditions. About 268 healthy adults and people with cognitive issues will be scanned to evaluate image quality.
