New drug delivery method for brain tumors tested in small study
NCT ID NCT05773326
First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026
Summary
This early-stage trial enrolled 5 people with recurrent high-grade glioma (a type of aggressive brain tumor). Participants received a single dose of the drug temsirolimus, given directly into the brain's blood vessels or through a vein, on the same day as planned tumor removal surgery. The main goal was to measure how much drug reached the tumor tissue, not to treat the disease. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
