Village doctors use wearables to stop heart failure before it starts
NCT ID NCT07492498
Summary
This study tests whether a telemedicine-supported care program can prevent heart failure in older adults with atrial fibrillation who live in rural China. 1,268 participants will be assigned by their local village clinic to receive either standard care or a digital program that includes wearable health monitors, lifestyle coaching, and remote specialist support. Researchers will track whether the program improves cardiovascular health scores and reduces hospitalizations for heart failure and stroke over several years.
