Digital village doctors battle heart failure risk in rural china
NCT ID NCT07492498
Summary
This study aims to prevent heart failure in older adults (65-80 years) in rural China who have atrial fibrillation but do not yet have heart failure. It will test whether a telemedicine program led by local village doctors—using wearable devices, lifestyle coaching, and remote specialist support—can improve heart health better than standard care. Researchers will track participants' overall cardiovascular health scores, hospitalizations, and early signs of heart problems over several years.
