Remote eye exams tested to catch blindness threats early
NCT ID NCT06934577
Summary
This study is testing whether a telemedicine approach can detect serious eye diseases as effectively as traditional in-person eye exams. Researchers will compare detection rates for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts in 900 patients at community health centers. The goal is to improve early detection of vision-threatening conditions through more accessible screening methods.
