Can music played online ease the mental burden of chronic illness?
NCT ID NCT07413874
Summary
This study is testing whether eight weekly online music therapy sessions can help improve quality of life and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety in adults who have both an autoimmune disease (like Type 1 diabetes or Hashimoto's) and depression. Researchers will work with about 10 participants to refine the therapy program and see if a larger future study is feasible. The goal is to see if this accessible, non-drug approach can help people better cope with the challenges of living with chronic illness.
