First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether adding TECAR therapy or shock wave therapy to standard lymphedema care helps reduce leg swelling in severely obese women. Forty-five women received either standard care alone or combined with one of the two extra treatments over four weeks. Researchers measured changes in leg size, pain, and quality of life at the start, after treatment, and at an 8-week follow-up.
