First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a gentle electrical current applied to the scalp (tDCS) could improve naming ability in people with aphasia after a stroke. Five participants who had a stroke 3 to 12 months earlier received tDCS combined with naming therapy. The goal was to see if this approach helps the brain re-learn word retrieval.
