First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 41 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a gentle brain stimulation technique called tDCS, combined with naming therapy, could help people with aphasia (trouble speaking or finding words) after a stroke. The study included 5 adults who had a stroke within the past year. Researchers compared four different stimulation setups to a fake (sham) setup to see which worked best for improving picture naming.
