Can kids with arthritis safely stop their strongest meds?
NCT ID NCT02840175
Summary
This study tested if children with juvenile arthritis whose disease is under control could safely have their powerful biologic medication slowly reduced and stopped. Researchers compared children who had their medication doses gradually decreased to children who stayed on their regular dose. The goal was to see if reducing treatment was safe, did not cause the disease to flare up, and could improve quality of life.
