Summary

This study compares two ways to control pain after laparoscopic kidney donation surgery: a nerve block injected into the abdominal wall before surgery versus numbing medicine injected into the incision sites at the end of surgery. The goal is to see which method better preserves lung function, since pain can make people take shallow breaths. Eighty adult kidney donors will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups, and neither they nor the study staff will know which they received.
