New hope for knee pain sufferers: tiny particles could replace surgery

Summary

This study tests a procedure called transarterial microembolization (TAME) for people with knee arthritis and long-lasting pain. About 43 adults with moderate knee arthritis who haven't found relief from standard treatments will receive this minimally invasive treatment. The goal is to reduce pain and improve quality of life, offering a potential alternative to knee replacement surgery.
