Summary

This study looked at two different treatments—neuromuscular electrical stimulation and electromyographic biofeedback—to see which one better helps stroke patients with swallowing problems. Sixty adults aged 45 to 60 who had trouble swallowing for up to three months after a stroke took part. The goal was to improve their ability to eat and drink safely and reduce the severity of their swallowing disorder.
