First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study is testing whether combining therapy (CBT) with a team of caring adults chosen by the teen can help prevent suicide in Black adolescents aged 12-17 who are at immediate risk. The teen will attend 12-14 therapy sessions, and their support team will learn how to help and stay in regular contact. The goal is to see if this approach is acceptable and practical for use in community mental health.
