Summary
This study tested whether training staff in residential facilities can help prevent suicide and improve mental health for youth in the legal system. About 1000 youth and staff took part. Researchers compared facilities that received the special training to those that did not, measuring changes in suicide thoughts, self-harm, and staff well-being.
