Massive stroke study aims to unlock future cures
NCT ID NCT00009243
Summary
This study aims to better understand stroke by creating a large registry of patients and tracking the natural course of the disease. It will enroll 4,000 adults who have had or are at risk for a stroke or mini-stroke (TIA). The research involves collecting data from standard medical tests and performing additional scans and blood tests to learn how stroke affects the brain and body over time, with the goal of informing future treatment studies.
