Summary

This study looked at how quickly muscle strength and mass decrease in the first 10 days after a severe stroke. Researchers measured muscle strength and body composition in 6 patients who had trouble walking. The goal was to understand how common muscle wasting (sarcopenia) is in Western stroke patients and what factors might predict it.
