Summary
This study is testing a new device that combines a motorized knee brace with muscle stimulation to help people who have had a stroke walk more easily and safely. The device uses sensors to detect what the person is trying to do and provides just the right amount of support. The goal is to improve walking speed, reduce falls, and make daily activities easier. The study involves 5 veterans who are at least 6 months past their stroke and have trouble walking due to leg weakness or stiffness.
