Summary

This study tested whether giving a low dose of a clot-busting drug (tPA) directly into the heart arteries during emergency angioplasty could improve blood flow and reduce complications in 210 patients having a severe heart attack. The goal was to see if this approach helps clear small clots and prevent further heart damage. Results are not yet available.
