Handheld device aims to calm stress and heal hearts after attack

NCT ID NCT04521699

Summary

This study is testing whether a handheld stress-management device, used daily like an inhaler, can improve blood vessel health and lower future heart disease risk in people recovering from a heart attack. One hundred participants in cardiac rehab will either use the device along with their standard care or receive standard care alone for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure blood vessel function, stress markers, and quality of life to see if the device provides added benefit.
