First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app called Ghostly can help hospitalized patients—including those recovering from stroke, COVID-19, or frailty—do strength exercises to rebuild muscle. Fifteen participants used the app during their hospital stay, and researchers measured changes in muscle strength and size. The goal was to see if the app is a practical and effective tool for in-hospital rehabilitation.
