Can a 'Senolytic' drug stop sepsis in its tracks?

NCT ID NCT05758246

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a drug called fisetin can reduce organ failure in older adults (65+) with mild sepsis. Sepsis is a severe response to infection that can damage organs. The drug targets aging cells that may make the body's response worse. The trial will compare two doses of fisetin to see which works best and is safe.
