Anti-aging drug fisetin tested to stop sepsis in its tracks

Summary
This study tests whether a drug called fisetin can prevent sepsis from getting worse in older adults. Sepsis is a life-threatening reaction to an infection that can cause organ failure. The trial will give fisetin to 220 patients aged 65 and older who have a mild infection and are in the hospital. The goal is to see if fisetin can reduce damage to the heart, lungs, and kidneys over one week.
