Summary

This study tests a stem cell transplant from a healthy donor for people with serious blood disorders like sickle cell disease or thalassemia. The goal is to replace the faulty blood cells with healthy ones, reducing the need for lifelong transfusions. Participants will receive a donor transplant and be monitored for side effects like graft-versus-host disease. The trial is currently recruiting 62 participants.
