Could your own stem cells heal your aching knees?

NCT ID NCT03477942

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether injecting a patient's own bone marrow stem cells into the knee is safe and might help repair damaged cartilage. It involves 16 adults with either knee osteoarthritis or a specific cartilage injury who haven't gotten better with other non-surgical treatments. Researchers will monitor participants for two years to check for safety, pain levels, knee function, and signs of cartilage repair on MRI scans.
