Summary
This study is testing whether a simple 'sponge-on-a-string' device can accurately detect Barrett's esophagus and early esophageal cancer. The goal is to create an easier screening method that doesn't require a full endoscopy procedure. Researchers will enroll about 1,550 adults at risk for these conditions to see if the sponge test can reliably identify who needs further evaluation.
