Summary
This study is testing a simple, swallowable sponge device called Cytosponge as an easier first step to screen for Barrett's esophagus, a condition that can lead to esophageal cancer. The goal is to see if this non-invasive test can accurately identify who needs a follow-up endoscopy. Researchers will enroll 400 people, some with known or suspected Barrett's and some without, to compare the sponge test results with standard endoscopy findings.
