First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether blocking certain nerves in the abdomen (splanchnic nerves) can help reduce fluid buildup and improve exercise ability in people with heart failure. About 54 adults with heart failure and reduced pumping function will receive either the nerve block or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can improve symptoms and daily function.
