First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested a new blood test called SpinChip to see how well it can diagnose heart attacks in people arriving at the emergency room with chest pain. Over 1,500 adults took part, and their blood was tested with both the new SpinChip test and a standard test. The goal was to see if the new test is as accurate and safe as the current method.
