First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested a new, faster blood test called SpinChip hs-cTnI to see how well it can diagnose heart attacks. Over 1,500 adults with chest pain or other heart attack symptoms at the emergency department took part. The test measures a protein released during a heart attack, and researchers compared its accuracy to a standard test.
