First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study explores whether playing a low-frequency sound (1 Hz) during deep sleep can reduce seizure activity in people with epilepsy. Thirty-six adults will use a smartphone app and special headphones at home for two months. The goal is to see if this simple, non-invasive approach is feasible and can safely lower nighttime seizures.
