First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether playing a low-frequency sound (1 Hz) during deep sleep can help suppress seizures in adults with epilepsy. Thirty-six participants will use a smartphone app and special headphones at home for two months. The goal is to see if this safe, non-invasive method can reduce nighttime seizure activity and be easy enough for daily use.
