First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding musical sounds that match a person's movements (sonification) to standard physical therapy can improve walking in people with Parkinson's disease, stroke, or multiple sclerosis. About 120 adults will be randomly assigned to standard rehab or rehab with sonification for 20 sessions. Researchers will measure walking speed, balance, fatigue, and quality of life at the start, after 10 and 20 sessions, and one month later.
