Summary

This study tests new strategies to make sure that decisions about who gets a heart transplant or a heart pump are fair and based on objective medical criteria, not bias. Researchers will work with over 1,400 patients and doctors at heart centers across the U.S. to reduce racial and gender disparities. The goal is to create a fairer system that can be used nationwide.
