E-Cigs and nicotine patches put to the test for smokers trying to quit

Summary

This study tests whether e-cigarettes or nicotine replacement therapy can help people quit smoking and manage weight gain. Researchers will track daily cigarette use, carbon monoxide levels, and weight changes in 60 adults with obesity who smoke at least 5 cigarettes per day. Participants must be 21 or older and willing to use the assigned product for 8 weeks.
