Inclusion Criteria: * Adult patients (≥18 years) * Current smokers attending the pre-anaesthetic assessment clinic * Scheduled for elective surgery within 6 months Exclusion Criteria: * Emergency surgery * Patients having surgery day less than 7 days * Cognitive impairment preventing consent * Patients already receiving active treatment from other smoking cessation services
