Pre-Workout corn starch may shield diabetic teens from Post-Exercise lows
NCT ID NCT05540132
First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if a slow-digesting carbohydrate supplement taken before exercise could help teens with type 1 diabetes avoid dangerously low blood sugar after biking. The plan was to have each teen complete two bike challenges, once with the supplement and once without, and compare their blood sugar levels and performance. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
