NCT ID NCT07158008
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares two weight-loss surgeries for people with severe obesity and acid reflux (GERD). About 560 participants will be randomly assigned to either a newer procedure (Nissen-Sleeve) or the standard Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. The main goal is to see if the newer surgery controls reflux just as well one year after the operation, while also tracking weight loss and quality of life.
