Scientists probe hidden dangers of nighttime teeth grinding
NCT ID NCT03083405
Summary
This study aims to understand the connections between sleep bruxism (nighttime teeth grinding) and other health issues like sleep apnea, heart disease risk, thyroid function, and stress. Researchers will observe and measure 100 adults who grind their teeth during sleep, using sleep studies, heart tests, blood work, and questionnaires. The goal is to gather knowledge to inform future treatments, not to provide a cure or direct therapy in this trial.
