Scientists probe why nighttime teeth grinding may signal bigger health problems
NCT ID NCT03083405
Summary
This study aims to understand the complex links between sleep bruxism (nighttime teeth grinding) and other health issues like sleep apnea, heart disease risk, thyroid problems, and stress. Researchers will observe 100 adults who grind their teeth during sleep, using sleep studies, heart tests, blood work, and questionnaires. The goal is to gather knowledge to help guide future treatments for people who have both bruxism and other conditions.
