Gene test reveals who benefits from diabetes drug
NCT ID NCT04323189
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This pilot study looks at how the diabetes drug sitagliptin affects people who naturally have lower levels of the DPP4 enzyme due to their genes. Researchers will compare 20 adults with and without this genetic trait to see changes in blood sugar and enzyme activity after a meal. The goal is to understand why some people respond differently to the drug, not to test a new treatment.
